A Healthy Twist on A Banana Split!  Healthy dessert swaps are one of my favorites!  I have a HUGE sweet tooth!  I have been able to really cut back on my sugar intake by learning how to make healthy swaps that still TASTE GOOD!!  See Below for DAIRY FREE or NUT FREE options

All you need for this one is:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup greek yogurt (I used vanilla)
  • fruit of choice ( I like berries)
  • sprinkles optional
  • peanutbutter/almond butter and dark chocolate chips (I prefer enjoy life brand) for the drizzle**microwave 1TBSP PB/almond butter and 1 Tbsp dark chocolate chips for 20 seconds then stir and microwave again for 20 seconds.
    ** Using Icecream scoop put yogurt into 2 scoops on plate.  SLice banana length wise and put one on each side, tope with berries of choice, drizzle with PB/Chocolate mixture, and add sprinkles.
    ** This recipe can easily be changed by using frozen greek yogurt, no PB or sunflower butter for nut allergies, etc
    ** You can also make this fun for the kids by having the berries and sprinkles in little cups like a topping bar 🙂
    ** For a DAIRY FREE version you can use coconut milk or almond milk icecream or simply don’t use yogurt and just warm up a banana and top with berries, sprinkles, and drizzle
